THE DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY AT THE UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA invites applications for two tenure track Assistant Professor positions to begin August, 2008. We seek outstanding scholars engaged in high impact research, regardless of specific research focus. Research areas can fall within our departmental programs (cognitive/experimental, clinical, developmental, industrial/organizational, neuroscience, and social), cut across these programs, or encompass related themes such as health or multicultural approaches. Expectations include contributing to graduate and undergraduate training and developing an externally funded research program. Assistant Professor, Tenure Track
The Psychology Department of Armstrong Atlantic State University invites applications for a tenure track position in the area broadly defined as Animal Learning or Animal Cognition at the Assistant Professor level, beginning August 1, 2008, pending budgetary approval. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent potential to teach lecture and laboratory components of courses in Learning/Conditioning, Introduction to Psychology, and at least one other course in his/her area(s) of interest. Candidates must demonstrate an ability and desire to direct and supervise aspects of the modern laboratory facility which is currently capable of housing multiple species. Candidates will demonstrate a scientific orientation to the discipline, the potential for excellence in teaching, research interests that could involve undergraduates as assistants, and a commitment to active service to the department and university. A Ph.D. in psychology by the start date is preferred, but advanced ABDs will be considered.

Position at: Franklin & Marshall College
The Department of Psychology at Franklin & Marshall College invites applications for a visiting Assistant Professor in Comparative Psychology/ Animal Behavior beginning July 2008. Position is renewable for up to 3 years based on evidence of good teaching and/or continued administrative approval. Preferred candidates will be prepared to teach Animal Behavior and Conditioning and Learning. Teaching load is five courses per academic year and will include participation in the College's general education requirement and in the department's interdisciplinary programs. Bucknell University Department of Psychology seeks to hire a one year entry-level(i.e., three or fewer years of full-time postdoctoral teaching experience) Visiting Assistant Professor who can cover courses in Animal Learning. Facilities exist to support teaching activities involving animals and humans. Position at: Reed College
The Reed College Psychology Department seeks applicants for a one-year visiting position in ANIMAL MODELS of BEHAVIOR, to begin August, 2008.
The candidate's primary research could be in various fields that involve animal modeling with a focus on behavior, such as learning; memory; cognition; psychophysics; social behavior; developmental change; emotions; abnormal behavior; addiction. Teaching would be two courses per semester plus supervision of year-long senior thesis projects.
Ability to teach a course focused on learning is a plus. The successful candidate will be an excellent teacher and researcher and be at least ABD.
